Yes, I’m asking you to vote for something again. It’s important, I promise. To skip the explanation go here and vote. You do have to sign in, which is a bit of a pain, but when you consider that you are helping people who can’t walk or have other physical disabilities, it isn’t that big of a deal.
In lieu of a Super Bowl ad this year, Pepsi is giving away the money they would have spent to 10 different charities. These groups can win $50,000 each. (That seems like a ridiculous amount to spend on a TV ad….)
One of the groups in the running is Bozeman-based Eagle Mount. There are less than a million people in Montana, so it might be harder for them to get votes than some of the urban organizations. That’s why they need you!
Eagle Mount Bozeman provides therapeutic recreation to people with disabilities and camps for children with cancer. Celebrating our twenty eighth year, we reached out to 1,400 participants from around the US last year with the help of over 1,200 volunteers who gave 20,580 hours of their time.
You see Eagle Mount volunteers on the ski slopes, Nordic trails, horseback and in the water. They get folks out and recreating, which is both therapeutically beneficial and spirit-lifting. The equipment they use to do that isn’t cheap.
Please go vote for Eagle Mount now and every day in April! Don’t worry, I’ll remind you.
