I’ve been giving my new sewing machine a workout. That’s what happens when you have to re-sew half your work ;). Actually, I am learning a lot and am fortunate to have recipients who aren’t looking for perfection.
I made the jammies out of receiving blankets that I just couldn’t get rid of. The top is from a thrift store, and appliqued with more baby blanket.
The reversible capes were from a pattern (imagine that!) found in Growing Up Sew Liberated by Meg McElwee. I splurged and bought new material for this project. Anders picked rainbows, of course, and Finn chose sharks. The hoods are a little pointy for my taste, but otherwise I love them.
I have quite the project in mind for Christmas gifts, but haven’t committed to it, yet. I’ll keep you in suspense until I decide.
I’m in awe. That is all.
It’s a little less impressive when you see the inside 😉
