Pumpkin Patch

Halloween has come and gone and I still haven’t posted any pictures from our visit to the pumpkin patch. You are probably still reeling from being so impressed that I posted Halloween photos on Halloween, that you didn’t even notice.

Maybe you thought I’d leave one day of our lives undocumented. Ha!

It can get kind of windy on the edge of plains.
Playing in the straw bale fort.
Anders runs ahead….
…while I lag behind.
Remember this photo when I tell you about carrying Finn for three+ miles on the Passage Creek Falls trail. This 30-pounder gets heavy after awhile.
Yay! Pumpkins!
Anders insisted on this giant pumpkin.
Even the photographer makes an appearance.
We took the hay ride on the way back and Anders got to drive the tractor.
Anders gets his tractor drivers license. Watch out.

Just in case you’re wondering…they don’t actually grow pumpkins at Rocky Creek Farm. The demand is way higher than the number they could grow, so they truck them in and spread them in a field. I thought it was kind of lame at first, but the whole thing (straw bale forts, petting zoo, hay ride, play area etc) is so much fun that we go every year. Probably tough to grow pumpkins around here, anyway.
