Maybe you’ve heard that it has been freakin’ freezing around here. Maybe it’s ridiculously cold where you are, too. I don’t know how you handle it, but when it hovers around -10F for a week, we hunker down. We go a little stir crazy. We succumb to cabin fever.
We did get out last Friday and braved the below zero temps for the Holiday Stroll. We started by making ornaments at the Livingston Center for Arts and Culture. It was wonderfully calm since a lot of people chose to stay home that night.
We gathered the friends who made it out and moved on to Creepy Frosty. We love that guy, and the cookies and hot cocoa they leave out for us.
We spent a lot of time surrounded by the gorgeous stoves at Warm Stone Fireplaces and Designs and Crazy Mountain Cabinetry. We ate pizza cooked right there in the pizza stoves, noshed chocolate treats, and sipped wine and beer (juice for the kids). I could have stayed there all night. And I love those Tulikivi fireplaces… but we had to go and see Santa.
I’m glad we got out and walked around a bit, but I’m really glad that we are looking at a high of 10F today. I think the chickens will be happy, too.
