A winter walk

With the cold snap over, it was time to get outside. I packed hot cocoa and muffins and drove us to a nearby trailhead. Almost. The road to Pine Creek Falls was too snowy for our low clearance vehicle to ascend. We tried Suce Creek and found the same trouble.

When I decide to go for a walk, I want to go for a walk. We parked the car and walked up the road toward the Suce Creek Trailhead.

Blue skies, little wind, and temps in the 20s. It was lovely.

Out of the car and into the snow.

Trying to make a snowball with powder-dry snow.

Cooling his hot cocoa, and himself.

All smiles: the hot cocoa bribe worked.
